THE
SCRIPTURES
CLE.ARLY
TEACH
THAT
JEHOVAH
is
the
only
true
God,
the
Maker
of
heaven
and
earth,
and
is
from
everlasting
to
everlasting;
thut
the
Logos
was
the
beginning
of
his
creation;
that
the
Logos
became
a
man;
that
he
is
now
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ
in
glory,
clothed
with
all
power
in
heaven
and
in
earth.
THAT
GOD
created
the
earth
for
man,
and
created
perfect
man
for
the
earth
and
placed
him
upon
it;
that
man
wilfully
disobeyed
God's
law
and
was
sentenced
to
death;
that
by
reason
of
Adam's
wrongfnl
act
nIl
men
are
born
sinners
and
without
the
right
to
life.
THAT
JESUS
was
made
a
human
being
in
order
that
he
might
become
the
Redeemer
of
man;
that
he
gave
his
life
a
sacrifice
for
man
and
thereby
produced
the
ransom
price;
that
Jesus
the
divine
was
raisea
from
the
dead,
ascended
into
heaven,
and
presented
the
value
of
his
human
sacrifice
as
the
redemptive
price
for
man.
THAT
FOR
MANY
CENTURIES
God,
through
Christ,
RaS
been
selecting
from
amongst
men
the
members
of
his
church,
which
constitutes
the
body
of
Christ;
that
the
mission
of
the
church
is
to
follow
in
the
footsteps
of
her
Lord
Christ
Jesus,
grow
in
his
likeness,
give
testimony
to
the
name
and
purpose
of
Jehovah
God,
and
ultimately
be
glorified
with
Christ
Jesus
in
his
heavenly
kingdom;
that
Christ,
Head
and
body,
consti·
tutes
the
"seed
of
Abraham"
through
which
all
families
of
the
earth
shall
be
blessed.
THAT
THE
WORLD
HAS
ENDED;
that
the
Lord
Jesus
has
returned
and
is
now
present;
that
Jehovah
has
placed
Christ
Jesus
upon
his
throne
and
now
co=ands
all
nations
and
peoples
to
hear
and
obey
him.
THAT
THE
GREAT
ISSUE
before
all
creation
now
is
the
vindication
of
Jehovah's
word
and
name,
and
that
it
is
the
privilege
and
duty
of
every
true
Christian
to
give
the
testimony
of
Jesus
Christ,
and
to
make
known
that
the
kingdom
of
heaven
is
come.
This
gospel
of
the
kingdom
must
be
preached.

for

the
period
from
July
2·1
to
August
2
was
de3ignated
Special
Surprise
Week.
One
of
thQ
surprises
for
that
penod,
the
convention
at
Columbus,
Ohio,
July
24
to
July
30,
has
already
been
announced
in
recent
Towers.
In
addition
to
the
main
assembly
at
Columbus
and
the
auxiliary
conventions
in
connection
with
It,
other
'Vatch
Tower
service
conventions
are
being
arranged
to
be
held
dur
ing
that
same
period
in
all
other
countries
where
the
Society
carries
on
the
Lord's
work.
It
is
hoped
that
everyone
of
the
Lord's
anointE.'d
on
earth
will
be
giving
testimonies
as
wit
nesses
to
the
name
of
Jehovah
during
all
or
as
much
as
possible
of
that
special
period.
Never
before
in
the
history
of
the
church
has
the
time
been
so
opportune
as
at
this
particular
time.
How
wonderful
it
Will
be
to
have
service
conventions
in
session
during
the
bme
specified
in
every
country
on
earth,
with
the
Lord's
army
of
every
race,
tongue
and
color
going
forward
as
a
unit
bearing
the
fruits
of
the
kingdom
to
the
honor
of
Jehovah's
name.
Arrangements
have
been
made
for
those
who
attend
the
con
vention
at
Columbus
to
participate
in
the
field
work
there
and
at
other
points.
Let
all
those
who
find
it
impossible
to
come
to
Columbus
make
every
effort
to
arrange
their
vacations
and
work
so
as
to
be
able
to
spend
the
time
in
the
home
field.
